What is Multitasking?

Briefly, Multitasking is a methodology that can save our time by running more than one task over a certain period of time. When we work with the developed world , we have to do lot of works at the same time. So as I feel this is a precious way to save our time. However this methodology is based on the hardware and software performance of the device. So we are able to use multitasking by different ways of the different operating systems.

At the moment Microsoft has introduced lot of tips and shortcuts to multitask our computer.

Using windows

It is easy to control windows by using below shortcut keys

  • Windows logo key  + Left Right arrows           -           Maximize the app or desktop window to the left / right side of the screen.


  • Windows logo key  + Home                  -           Minimize all except the active desktop window (restores all windows on second stroke).

  • Windows logo key  + Shift + Up arrow         -           Stretch the desktop window to the top and bottom of the screen.


  • Alt + F4                                                  -                 Close current window
  • Windows logo key + D                          -                 Show the desktop
  • Windows logo key + M                         -                 Minimize all windows
  • Windows logo key + Shift + M             -                 Restore minimized windows

Interchange through the windows or desktops

In case you have to interchange through the windows or desktops , you can use below shortcut keys.

  • Windows logo key  + Tab          -         Open task view
  • Alt + Tab             -               Switch between open apps
